Alexis Southall is a UK Tribal Fusion Bellydance Performer and Teacher known for her deep curves, seamless flow, and speedy precise accents which focus both eye and ear.

A student of dance for 20 years, Alexis performs around the UK, Europe and America alongside pursuing her studies, her favourite city she's performed in being San Francisco.

Alexis regularly takes intensives, private lessons and immersions with some of the most influential dancers in Tribal Fusion, most frequently training with Samantha Emanuel, Olivia Kissel, Deb Rubin, Zoe Jakes and Kami Liddle whose teachings have influenced her the deepest. Alexis can never say no to a good drilling workshop and is always ready for more, but with a break for tea and biscuits in the middle of course.

Alexis dances from her instinctive self. At her happiest performing improv with total freedom, allowing the music to write the movement on her body. She communicates elegance, innovation and her joy in the movements of Tribal Fusion Bellydance.

Alexis teaches classes in Wolverhampton and workshops and is able to tailor the format for the needs of the group, particular favourites of students being her Layering, and Seamless Combos workshops.

Moving into hosting and event creation Alexis hosted Manca Pavli and Samantha Emanuel with great success in April 2011 with the show Bellydance Vaudeville, and produces the annual Infusion Emporium show.

Always keen to form new collaborative relationships within dance, in addition to her solo work Alexis regularly performs with Khalgani and is a founding member of Dark Circus Collaborative. She has performed as a guest dancer for USA's HYBRID Dance Project and in 2012 will be working with Yahna of Estonia on an exciting new performance.

With new projects and her dance continuing to evolve Alexis is excited to see what the future holds, and hopes to dance with you soon.
